September 2010
Hello Stampers and Scrappers;
I hope you are ready to start thinking about Christmas, because our first Christmas Card class is Stamp of the Month! We are also getting a head start on calendars. Each year Melissa does a calendar class and usually needs to repeat it a couple of times to fit everyone in. We are trying to get an early start this year so you can take the class and have plenty of time to make calendars as gifts. As usual, we will try to provide you with classes to make favors and treats for upcoming holidays as well. Although we have placed a lot of orders, we are still waiting for our slow-to-ship companies to get us the goods! September should be lots of fun when everything comes all at once.
Mark your calendar...Monday, September 6, we will be closed for Labor Day.
We will also be closed the following Monday, the 13th. Melissa and i will be attending a special two day workshop hosted by our favorite rep. We will meet with about 15 of our best vendors for lots of one-on-one time. There will also be make and takes and we will return with lots of ideas.
I want to thank everyone who contributes stamps to our SPCA fundraiser basket. The money raised form the sale of the donated stamps goes to our SPCA spay/neuter fund. We have raised close to $1000 from the sale of the stamps. The resulting spay/neuter surgeries have save lives by preventing the births of thousands of unwanted animals. Thank You from the bottom of my heart! Our SPCA is embarking on the huge task of building a no-kill shelter. We will be having LOTS of fundraising events including one Melissa is planning.....Critter Cupcake Challenge. If you love cupcakes and want to enter, or just stop by and buy a cupcake, you are invited to click here for more information and an entry form.
Happy Crafting…..
Sharon
WHAT’S NEW?
I mentioned that we have written lots of orders and are waiting....and waiting for orders to arrive. Some of the companies we should receive orders from soon are: Impression Obsession, Hero Arts, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Bo Bunny, Spellbinders, Paper Adventures and Graphic 45. We have received shipments from Mark Richards.....oodles of rhinestones, and May Arts.......yards and yards of new ribbon. Check out the cutest little ruffled gingham ribbon. Robin is using some on one of her cards.
Today we are working on orders from Flourishes and a new company, Heartfelt Creations. I love this company...they have beautiful stamp sets, and their own dies made by Spellbinders that match the stamps. You can stamp and cut images and make fabulous 3D projects. We have great plans for this company!
There is always more to come!
