Hello;

 Here we are...a bit warmer every day!  It sure doesn't seem like it should be July already, though. I hope the weather is not too hot where you are ( I am not a hot weather fan). I heard some horrible weather forecasts for other parts of the country as I was coming to the store this morning. As a child I lived in Brawley, California for a couple of years...I think that did me in where hot weather is concerned. I am a "moderate weather girl". 

I wanted to start out today with information about our distributor, Notions Marketing. You may remember a couple of months ago there was some devastating weather in Michigan. Notions Marketing is located in Michigan. We almost always have orders pending or on the way from Notions. At the time of the storm, we had an order in process and were also putting items in our cart for our next order. A week or two after the weather event, a notice was posted on their site stating they had an electrical surge that impacted their warehouse operations, and they hoped to have the problems solved soon. We kept an eye on the site....then we received an email from a manufacturer who distributes through Notions stating that there was also a fire. Since we did not hear directly from Notions, we don't know if there really was a fire. If there was...we don't know how severe damages may have been. They do reply to our emails, but they have not mentioned a fire...just that they are working to get things back up and running. Hopefully that will be soon!

Notions is a major supplier for the crafting industry. We utilize them because they handle so many different companies, and we can order large or small quantities. We hope they will be able to ship our pending order, and things will open up so we can order all of the items we have been adding to our cart day by day. If there is anything we have ordered for you, we will get it to you as soon as we can. Every day I look at the yarn and am tempted to start ordering direct from the manufacturers. Then I come to my senses...where would I put the quantity yarn I would be required to buy? There are definitely reasons it is great to order from a distributor rather that the manufacturer! 

I have been working with Julie Kelly to set a date for fall classes. We are looking at October 10th for Fall/Halloween and Christmas classes. We are still a bit flexible on the date. I would really appreciate it if you could let me know if you intend to sign up for her classes. It will help us decide whether we need one day or two. If you have any questions about Julie's classes, let know.

By this time next month I hope to be able to tell you about the flood of new merchandise that has arrived!

                                                                       What's New?

We have ordered lots of embellishments from Trinity....Can't wait for them to arrive. We sold almost everything we had from them at Stamp Escape, so we decided to add them as a regular vendor at the store. We will let you know then the order arrives. 

We heard yesterday that ENCORE paper has added more papers and colors for us to choose from. They have 160 colors in textured 12x12. They have added 58 smooth colors, 35 Shimmer colors, and 83 Glitter cardstock colors. These are all 12x12. We will be ordering Glitter right away. I can't wait to see it....it is color through and through...not color on white! With the availability of all of this new paper, we may have to move things around a bit. 

Our OLO markers have been replenished! The fixture is nice and full and the refill fixture is in pretty good shape, so if you are finally parting with your old Copic markers, we can help you get set up with Olo's! You won't regret it!
