Getting close!!!
Hi there...
We are getting close to The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape 2025! And I am finally getting back to a somewhat regular schedule! We hired Co-Managers at the EMCSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center and after working with them a while, I had my first regular days off in 5 months! Yay!!!! I really can't complain as the time spent at the shelter was great. We made a lot of changes that will make things run smoothly, and rescued some wonderful cats and dogs. Just so you know, I did not adopt that adorable Golden Retriever you saw in last months news. I was really tempted, but a great couple who adopted him will spend much more time with him than I can. We have pulled dogs from our county shelter that would otherwise be euthanized due to lack of space, and are getting our kitten room ready for the spring litters! Can't wait....no I will not adopt more cats. The two at the store and the three at home are plenty! If you are coming to Stamp Escape, I hope you will take 30 minutes or so to see the facility. The staff is very proud of it and will be happy to take you on a tour.
Getting ready for Stamp Escape means a lot of ordering...and organizing. I have talked with the teachers over the last few days. We should start getting the merchandise that we will sell at the event this week. There is no way to keep some things from being last-minute. Don't worry if we seem to be a bit crazy...that is really normal here!
Looking forward to seeing you!
What's New?
While we have been concentrating on Stamp Escape, we have also been keeping the shelves stocked in the store. Last month I told you about some new basic print papers that came in. They are selling like hotcakes!
We should receive an order from Lawn Fawn this week that includes some really, really cute paper, too! We haven't had new paper from them in a while, but we couldn't resist this collection. We ordered some great stamps and dies you will want for spring. They include a bit of Easter and really nice spring floral dies.
We are also getting a re-order of the Platinum 6 from Spellbinders. This die cutting machine has been our best selling and most reliable one ever. We can't keep it in stock! If you are looking, they should be here by the end of the week.
We have the Tim Holtz Distress Pencils coming in again in all color sets. Also getting watercolor sets back in stock.
As we order, we are constantly looking at not just quality, but price. We are doing our best to order so we can get free freight, quantities that offer special prices, etc. so we can keep the prices down for you!
If you remember the new black, white and cream 110# cardstock we ordered and LOVE...I just ordered some of their 65# pastels and brights. These are sight unseen like all paper we order these days. The days of swatches are far behind us. I hope the colored papers are as nice as the basics received. We won't have a lot of each color at first...we need to see them before we dive in!
Since Stamp Escape is the first weekend of April, I might not get the newsletter out before the event. I may wait so I can include some photos!
I hope you are all well and keeping busy...Happy Stamping!
