Happy 2025!!!

Can you believe it? Did 2024 fly by? I am pretty sure I must have missed a few days or maybe weeks, somewhere along the way. That must be a sign of something...I won't say what! However....we are moving right along! We hope all of our customers are well, and looking forward to a happy, healthy year in 2025.

I am writing today, Sunday afternoon, from the store. As you know, I have been doing double duty for a while. Just to fill you in, things at the shelter are going well, and we hope to hire a new manager sometime next month. We are adopting out dogs and cats like crazy. Tomorrow I will be contacting our local animal control to see if we can save the lives of some of the dogs that are currently there. It makes us so happy to know that we are actually "saving the lives" of the dogs we take from them, as they have a 40% euthanasia rate! If you are thinking about adding a dog or cat to your life, I urge you to visit your local shelter. You won't regret it!

I had the newsletter almost finished yeaterday but it was getting late so I saved it (I was quite sure) and went home thinking I would finish it last night. Well...it was nowhere to be found....so here I am, back in the store this afternoon, starting over. First things first....I have been getting calls and emails asking if we still have room for Stamp Escape. We do have room.....just let us know if you are mailing an application, or call and we can handle everything over the phone. It is always so much fun to see everyone. Don't miss out! :)

Boy, things are going a bit crazy in the paper crafting world! Hero Arts merged with Spellbinders, and as you may know, Tim Holtz announced he is going back to his roots (my description). If you missed his youtube video, he will not be designing new product (although there is at least a years's worth in the works), but rather going back to doing what he loves...which I understand to mean, "having fun". Designing for numerous companies and always being under a deadline cannot be easy. It will be interesting to see which of the companies he designed for will start bringing back products that had gone away....and will be new again! There is never a dull moment in retail!

You may want to check our latest addition to our product line....new yarn and related items. Just our effort to make it easier to craft without driving to Fresno, or supporting Amazon!

We are working on spring holidays right now...Easter is not far away! I was talking to a customer a few days ago about some basic paper designs....like plaids, and other multi-use designs. We are always on the search for good quality paper in useful designs. If there is something you need, let us know.

We always appreciate hearing from you....and of course, seeing you! Thanks to our customers who live out of the area, and come to support us! It is so nice to see you, if only once a year....and our local crafters....you know we love you, too!

                                                       What's New?

Not really new, new... but we got an order of Dries Clear Glue, just under the wire....We always order before the weather gets too cold. They do not ship to areas where it is cold and their product might freeze. We have plenty of stock, so if you are a Dries Clear fan, we have glue for you!

In our 'crafty' section, we have a new selection of brushes, and are increasing our acrylic paint selection! We have been going through paper trimmers like crazy! We have a few bare spots on the wall but the new stock should be here in a couple of weeks. We always like to have the newest and best paper trimmers!

We continually go through our stock and remove items to the 50% off area....don't forget to look there when you are in the store. You never know what treasure you will find!

We have so many requests for wood mounted stamps....and we do our best to keep some basic stock for those who are new to stamping, or just want a Thank You stamp and a basic ink pad...without getting into clear sets and acrylic blocks. Yes, there are still a few companies that make wood mounted stamps!

Unrelated to stamping....but I thought I would ask....I know several of you who have attended Stamp Escape, have wanted to visit the animal shelter. I also know many of you donate to the shelter, which I greatly appreciate. I would like to know if you will be here in April for Stamp Escape, and would like to tour the shelter. I believe some of you may have stopped by and were not able to look around as the manager at the time would not allow it. It is something I can certainly set up, so let me know if you are interested, what day would be best....Thursday or Friday before?, Monday afterward? I will make it happen!

Please keep Robin in your prayers this week. She has major surgery the 7th in Santa Clara. I know she will appreciate everyone thinking of her.

Hugs to you all..... :)
