The end (of the year) is near!

Hi....

Can you believe we are getting near the end of 2024? With Halloween behind us and Thanksgiving coming up quickly, I hope you are taking time for yourself. If you are still working on Christmas cards, you had better get busy! (Who am I to talk?) Today, the SPCA Thrift Shop, next door to The Cat's Meow, is holding its' monthly sidewalk sale and all I can see are heaps of Christmas decorations!

Today started out with light rain so it almost feels like winter..

..  JUST JOKING!

This is an unusual time for new product....Halloween, Fall, and Christmas have already come, and much is already gone. We will be ordering Valentines Day, Easter, and Spring shortly. Speaking of ordering....you may have heard this week that Spellbinders has acquired Hero Arts. The announcement was made online with few details in a short message from Aaron. Hero Arts website is unavailable for four days while they make changes to update the site. It is my understanding that Hero Arts will soon be shipping from Arizona. If you participate in any programs that Hero Arts has for their retail customers, I am sure they will keep you posted. They are a great company and their customers have always come first. We look forward to continuing to do business with Hero Arts as we have done since we opened in 1995. We order from Spellbinders on a regular basis so this will have no adverse affect on us as a retailer...if anything it will be better. As you may know, companies who sell whosesale have minimum orders for retailers. Some minimums are higher than others. When we order from Spellbinders, we can order their products, Stampendous, Hero Arts and others at the same time. I am confident Hero Arts will live on in the crafting world!

So....here is a little update on non-stamping stuff. I am spending a bit of time at the animal shelter. We have had a change in management and I am there three days a week as we look for the perfect manager. Although Melissa and I usually overlap on Tuesdays, I am at the shelter Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. You know that if you need anything at the store, Melissa can help you, as she and I do all of our ordering together and are on the same page. Stop by, call or email if you need anything....one of us will get back to you!

Regarding Stamp Escape....we just learned that one of our teachers is having health issues and may require major surgery. Instead of planning around her possible surgery and any time it may take for her to be well enough to travel and teach, we mutually decided we will replace her while we have time. We had hoped to have all of that nailed down by now....but unexpected things do happen! We will let you when we re-finalize!!!

I was hoping to include the class schedule in this newsletter....however, as I mentioned, my current schedule is crazy, Melissa will be out of town one weekend this month, and Robin may have a medical proceedure....Boy, are we a mess!!! I am still trying to put things together so I will update as soon as possible. Watch for another email from be within about a week!

Take care....
