Sorry to be late!

Hi everyone!

In the middle of the night, I realized I had not sent the newsletter! OOPS! So here it goes.... We had a great time when Julie Kelly was here for her all-day class. It was fun seeing the classroom full of crafty ladies having a good time. I think Julie wore them out! Lots of cards were made and Julie also used the Better Press in her classes. It is always nice to be able to see a new product, like Better Press, in action.

Speaking of classes....it brings me to Stamp Escape. We have been working to confirm our teachers. As you know, our goal is to have teachers who not only create great projects, but can also teach you how to do it, too! I normally don't publish the teacher list until we confirm all four teachers/companies, but since so many have asked, these are the teachers....so far. Angie Hunt, owner of LDRS Creative. Angie has a variety of styles in her stamps/dies. You may also have seen her beautiful Luxe Magnetic Glass Mat, which will make your work space both beautiful and versatile, Also joining us will be Karen Burniston. Some of you may remember Karen teaching several years ago. She is so much fun and a terrific teacher. Of course she will be teaching projects using her amazing dies to make clever, dimensional cards. We also have Mari Clarke who will teach with stamps and dies from Honey Bee Stamps. I have been trying to bring Honey Bee to the event for some time! I think Mari will be a great addition to our group....and she is coming all the way from Canada! I am still working with our 4th teacher. There is quite a bit to coordinate, but I hope to have that wrapped up soon.  Stay tuned! If you haven't signed up, now is the time. You can print out your registration form on the website. All of the information about the event is there. www.catsmeowstamps.com is the place to go! You know, there really is something special about crafting with live people rather than looking at a TV....just my opinion!

Don't forget, all Impression Obsession stamps and dies are now 30% off. There are still a lot of basic frames that you may want to add to your stash! This is a great time to take advantage of the pricing. As we all know...prices are going up, up, up! The upcoming dock strike could make it a bit harder to get some things, especially dies. Unfortunately, many of the companies outsourced their manufacturing to China and a few other countries. We may be OK since I believe the strike in in Texas and the east coast.

I hope you are doing well. See you soon!

                                                                What's New?

Just a reminder.....we now have the MISTI in Black, Turquoise, and the original Pink. We also have the Precision Glue Press from Misti. The Glue Press comes with a bottle of Nuvo glue, and also an empty bottle that you can use for the glue of your choice. This tool is great for anyone that has trouble squeezing a glue bottle. It is designed so that the tip doesn't clog. As you may know, anything you get with the Misti name is very well thought out and tested!

We are really sparkling! We have lots of new colors of sticky-back rhinestones. We do carry both sticky-back and loose rhinestones that do not have adhesive. It is kind of a personal choice. Some don't like to use wet glue for their gems, and others don't like sticky-back. So....you now have more choices!

The other day Melissa and I were talking and she mentioned that she uses her Spellbinders Scout....small die-cutting machine, more than her regular size die-cutting machine. It doesn't take up much room on your work table, and you would be surprised how many of your dies can be used in the smaller platform. We have the machines in both white and light blue.

Prior to Julie's class, we got in a lot of new dies, quite a few new stamp sets, and some new paper. There was some Halloween and a nice selection of Christmas. I will say that we struggled with Halloween this year. We ordered quite a bit of paper and simply did not receive it. There was no explanation...it just disappeared off of our order. Possibly there were printing problems...but we have no idea. We did receive new Christmas, and as we mentioned before, we placed a second order for the Autumn collection from Graphic 45. Boy, was that collection a huge hit! I think I have told you that fall colors are not my favorite, but I think this release was near #1 on my all-time list!

We still have all of the stamps, dies and paper that we brought in for Julie's class on the back table so it is easy to find. We will be moving it out onto the floor soon...so if you want to run in and not have to search, now is the time.

Just a comment about OLO markers. We are so happy with them, and our customers who have been switching over love them. We are really well stocked right now, especially with the newest colors, so bring your color chart and we will help you find the best replacements for your Copics.

Kathy will be teaching a fun class on October 19th. She is using the set shown with her samples, from Honey Bee. There are lots of possibilities with this stamp and die set. Aren't these cards cute? Call or stop by to sign up. The class fee is $20

Don't forget to sign up for Stamp Escape before it is too late! See you soon!
