We are warming up to head to Las Vegas!! :)
Hi there....I hope you are getting ready to celebrate the 4th like we are. We see a lot of tourists during the week of Independance Day as there are fireworks over Bass Lake, and the area is really beautiful at this time of year. Some of our neighbors in Fresno County are sadly experiencing terrible fires. We hope that the weather will allow the firefighters to make good headway and get the fires out ASAP..
Melissa, Robin, and I are gearing up to head to Las Vegas on the 15th for The Collins Group show. This group represents many of our vendors. This will be the first time we have attended their events so we are looking forward to coming back with lots of ideas and maybe some goodies! I am also hoping to chat with some prospective Stamp Escape teachers there. Please note...we will close at 3:30 Monday afternoon so we can get to the airport. We will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday and will be back to regular hours (9-5) Thursday.
Although it seems like we just had Stamp Escape, we are already working on 2025. We have our dates amd are already taking reservations. The dates for 2025 are April 4, 5, & 6. The 4th is the arrival date when you can pick up your instructions, goody bags, etc. at The Cat's Meow. Classes are the 5th and 6th at The Pines Resort at Bass Lake. We look forward to having you join us, You can check out the information on the Stamp Escape web page.
Have a Happy 4th.... Set aside a little time to do something fun!
Happy crafting.....have a great day!
What's New?
Even though this time of year is not usually when there are a lot of large releases of new product, we did find some good ones. After a pretty long wait, the new Spellbinder Scout Die Cutting and Embossing Machines came in. We ordered the basic white and also some of the special "Blue Mist" colored machines that are only available through store-front retailers. These machines are very well thought out...have a bit wider cutting area and longer plates than most other small machines. The plates are 3.5"x9". Stop by to check them out. The White retails for $74.99 and the Blue Mist retails for $79.99. These are great for the smaller dies such as words, that don't require a large bed machine. They are handy to have on your table and don't take up much room.
You may know that I am a big fan of Memory Box. I also LOVE fuschias and hummingbirds! Guess what....Dave read my mind! We have most of the new collection in stock....just waiting for the hummingbird, chickadee, butterfly dies, and a beautiful 3d fuschia embossing folder that includes three dies to cut out the embossed flowers. They should be here by the end of the week. Here is what we have in stock so far.....Their paper pads are really beautiful. This time we included some solids in colors we love.
The new colors of OLO markers have been a big hit. I can see a reorder in my near future! We are so happy that everyone that trys OLO's really likes them. With Copic markers being the only game in town for such a long time, seeing a new product in the same arena doing so well is great. If you haven't tried OLO's, you should!
We have been working on one of the hardest categories (next to kids/baby) there is....Masculine themed papers, stamps, dies, etc. After we got a nice selection, we put them on the end of the first fixture on the right as you come in the door....whoosh...out they went. We don't know if it's that we put them in the right place, or we just bought wonderful papers, stamps, and dies......Maybe that is the magic spot. You learn something new every day. Check our our new Masculine ....section when you come in.
Another company we really like is Lavinia. Since they are located in (and ship from) Wales, we don't order too often. We just placed an order for a variety of stamps...some really cute ones that are different from anything they have had before....and a good selection of their papers. Although the papers are very expensive to ship, due to their weight, they are different than papers from other companies. I imagine we should have our Lavinia order by mid-July.
We are trying to remember (gets harder every day) to post new arrivals on our Facebook page. We are happy to ship orders and we have very reasonable shipping rates. See you on Facebook!
