We are counting the days!
Hi there......
I hope you are well and are enjoing the sunny weather! For me, there is a fine line between too hot and too cold. Speaking of too hot....you may remember Melissa, Robin and I are going to Las Vegas to a trade show/conference next month. We are flying out Monday night and will return Wednesday night. I will send out a reminder that we will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, the 16th and 17th of July. We plan to come back with lots of great ideas and news of the upcoming trends and goodies. It seems like forever since we actually attended any kind of a "show" in person and this particular one is a bit different. The number of attendees is limited and Robin, Melissa and I will split up and attend different classes so we can not only see, but use new products. The type of show we are used to is more like wandering through a mall (remember those?) with hundreds of people. When something caught our eye, we stopped to check it out. For this event, we are already scheduled to attend specific classes and demos. I am sure it will be interesting and and we will come back loaded with information.
In the meantime, June is the month we start to see more new product as we start thinking ahead to ...get this...Christmas! Personally, I love all of the colorful papers and beautiful stamps and dies we see at this time of year that are not holiday-specific. A good example of that would be the Graphic 45 collection that came in last month. Gorgeous colors, flowers and hummingbirds made this collection a great seller. We are still waiting for a couple of things in the collection that should ship in a day or two. I am watching.....and as soon at they arrive at the shipper I will hit the send button!
We are finally looking like we have recovered from Stamp Escape. The empty hooks are now full and we don't look like a tornado came through the store. We love seeing the new colorful things....the things that make everyone smile! Check out what's new below. Stop by when you are in town, and remember, if you live out of the area we are happy to ship whatever you need.
Happy summer!
What's New?
Well...sort of new. We were getting low on some of our Sticky Paws adhesives. You may not know that these are the basic adhesives that we buy directly from the manufacturer and we package them ourselves. We are able to sell a variety of adhesives at really good prices. We now have our double sided tape back in 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2" width. We also have foam dots in white and black (finally able to get white), and the large rolls of 1/4" foam tape in white and black. They are not only a great value but a great product.
If you are also one of our yarn customers, you will be happy to know that we got in some new, really beautiful colors in our Bernat Super Value yarn. Makes me want to knit!
We filled in on our paper cutter stock and have a nice variety of sizes and styles. We also have a selection of scissors and snips, including the new Tim Holtz Mini Recoil Snips!
We are waiting, waiting, waiting for our new OLO markers....and watching for an email reply with a delivery date.....waiting, waiting, waiting...
Some of the new paper themes we have ordered are patriotic, masculine, and some other basics in 12x12. We are also filling in our 6x6 pads which are very popular! We ordered a few solid color paper packs to see how they sell. They are 80lb, textured on one side, 60 sheets in a pack for $23.49. There are four different color collections....bright, primary, pastel, and neutral.
Miscellaneous.....We have new dies from Penny Black...watch for them in a class. Remember, we have the full range of colors in the Hero Hues ink pads that we brought in for Stamp Escpape. Robin found a new brand of small magnets that work great for some of the structural projects. These are thin magnets that are stronger so they work particularly well with book projects. For those on the go or newbies....we have a few different types of card kits in stock and on the way. These can be a great way to get into cardmaking, or perfect for somebody on that is short on time...put them together and call it good or add your own finishing touches.
I am sure there are other goodies I may have missed, and definitely more on the way.....it is never a dull moment here.
We also have some great classes coming up. On June 15th, Melissa has created three beautiful and unique cards that could be masculine or feminine. We all know how difficult mens cards can be....check these out.
Robin's class on June 29th is pet themed.....but, again, with the slightest tweak can be all-purpose! This is a four card class!
We hope to see you soon!!! Check our our website at http://www.catsmeowstamps.com
