Michael is coming!

Hello;
I can't figure out what happened to July......it was the 4th and now it's August? Melissa went to Summer CHA in Chicago and met a couple of gals she has known for ages (on the internet). She had a great time walking the show with them. It turned out they were the queens of Make and Takes, not wanting to miss a single one. Melissa did take a couple of classes from our friends at Heartfelt Creations, but she spent most of her time checking out new things. The summer show is much smaller, allowing her to spend time in each booth,.

I think the biggest hit of all was the Birgsong paper from Graphic 45. Following the show, my rep, Joan came with samples and we went through lots of goodies. The highlights of the show were of course, dies! Many companies now have dies that coordinate with their stamps. There were also many more companies who are partnering. For about a year, we have seen Hero Arts partnering with Basic Grey and Sizzix. This allows a company who normally has only stamps and a few embellishments to have an extensive paper line and dies. That way the people who normally buy from Basic Grey or Sissix will also be exposed to Hero Arts products. Kind of a win-win situation and a nice thing for the industry.

Even though summer is not normally a time when we do a lot of ordering, there seem to be a lot of new releases that we like. Of course we are looking toward fall with the beautiful colors of the season, and Halloween and Christmas. There will be no shortage of fun to come!

I hope you are having a great summer. We have really enjoyed seeing our 'few-times-a-year' customers who make their way to Oakhurst and always stop by. We are working hard on Stamp Escape 2013 and will get that information to you soon. We are also getting ready to send out information on Michael Strong's classes coming up in September, and are thinking we might get Lynell Harlow from Dreamweaver to come in November! Stop by to see our newest goodies when you can .....
WHAT'S NEW?

We have placed orders with Hero Arts mainly for Christmas and Halloween stamps.They will be coming in three different shipments. Of course, you know What's in the Box? from memory Box is in! Great new fall, Halloween and Christmas stamps and dies. Birdsong, the Asian collection from Graphic 45 has been ordered and should ship right away. Two new collections from Authintique are here, one Halloween and the other Back to School (kind of vintage). We also ordered Halloween paper from We R Memory Keepers.

I think you will really like the new 6x6 pads coming from Bo Bunny.....they are from their Double Dot collection. I think they will be perfect all of you cardmakers!  I ordered a collection that may be going out on a limb for us.....but I loved it. There are 12x12 papers in cream and black with theme of wine, cooking, recipe cards, postcards, etc. I really like the graphics and there is something about it that really caught my eye.

For those of you who are wondering where the order from Our Daily Bread is, I just got a call that the order has shipped. We are also looking at the new Justrite catalog to order as there are some really gorgeous stamps with coordinating dies. Impression Obsession has lots of new stamps, you will want to look at their catalog before we order.

We also ordered plenty of glitter paper for Christmas, and have a couple of collections of Christmas paper in stock already with more to come.

See you soon and keep an eye on your email for information on Michael Strong's class. I know you will want to sign up!
