July 26 Crop

Melissa heads to CHA

Lots of new stuff

Hello;
I hope your summer has started well. I am enjoying the 'not too hot' weather. We have had such a mild winter, I am a little concerned about what lies ahead!

I think I told you The Cat's Meow 'Gypsy', Melissa, will be heading off to Chicago on the 16th to attend the Summer CHA Show. As part of her plan to fly off to new destinations, she will meet up with her Tombow Design Team buddies and also check out what's new for fall and holiday for The Cat's Meow. She will also be on the lookout for teachers for The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape 2013. We will look forward to seeing what she might bring back in the way of catalogs, however she said she refuses to drag around a 'rollie' since she will be alone. Personally, I think she could stuff some in that nice big Anna Griffin duffle she got before going to New York! just a thought.......

We will hold another EMC SPCA fundraiser stamp sale from Wed-Fri, July 11-13. There are gently used and even unused stamps and related items that have been donated as a fundraiser for the spay/neuter program. Please pay by cash or check for these treasures as they are not run through the store......see  you then!

Heads up, Scrappers! On Thursday, July 26, we are planning an all day crop here at the store. It will be from 9am to 9pm. We will provide snacks and dinner, and PRIZES! Each scrapper will have a table to themselves. We will limit the crop to 9, however we have set a minimum of 6. The cost for the crop is $25. We want to determine what works best for everyone, so this is a test....

Check out What's New? to learn about new goodies just received and what should be coming within the next week or two. I hope you have a great summer, remember, the air conditioner is always on at The Cat's Meow because we know how important it is to be COOL!

What's New?

Two new collections have arrived from Authentique, Lively and Festive. Festive is...guess what....Christmas. We are all ready for Christmas in July :} Lively is a real pretty, colorful collection with nice florals.

We also have some of the new heavier cardstock from Bazzill called Card Shoppe Cardstock. It comes in 8 1/2 x 11 and is 110lb. Makes a very nice base for your cards.

More colors in the Viva Decor Pearl Pens have arrived. These pens have special tips to make the perfect little 'pearls' as embellishments. The shape of the tip prevents the little peak on top.

Two paper collections from Graphic 45 have been shipped. They are Happy Haunting and Ladies Diary. Happy Haunting is perfect for all of you Halloween lovers and Ladies Diary is vintage and pink! They will be releasing their Christmas paper in two weeks along with their new Asian collection. The sneak peeks of both look good.

Action Wobble springs are sitting her in a box next to me. I bought them in bulk and will be packing them in bags of ten tomorrow. I think Melissa might use them on a couple of projects for ideas. They are very clever embellishments.

Arriving soon....stamps from Art Impressions (those fabulous mature ladies we love), stamps and dies from Memory Box, stamps from Lockhart Rubber Stamps, dies from Lifestyle Crafts and more......

                                               HOT TIP!

Cling and  clear stamps not wanting to stick to your acrylic blocks? Do what we never did with our wood mounted stamps.....throw them in the sink filled with water and dish soap (Dawn works well). Throw your blocks in, too. This will remove finger prints, grunge, and dust and everything will stick again!
