Saying goodbye to Summer.....
At least I keep hoping. You probably know by now I am not a hot weather lover....no excuses for complaining when snow piles up! At least snow melts. In hot weather I melt and it is not pretty! Sp here we are again....between too hot and too cold....what is a girl to do. I know, craft! I was thinking the other day about the number of cards our SPCA sends to recognize donations. We have a lot of people who send donations to honor friends and family instead 9of buying gifts or gift cards. We like to send a card to let the person know a donation was made in their honor and a card to thank the person who made the donation. I know there are plenty of organizations or facilities that could use simple basic cards. If you have a senior facility near you, I am sure they would love a stack of birthday and thinking of you cards to brighten the days of their residents. I think we sometimes get wrapped up in making the latest, most elaborate project we see on the internet, when we could be making ten simple cards that will make ten people happy! Try it....and let me know about your experience!
I get re-invigorated when the weather cools and there are holidays ahead. We have been busy ordering and have some really great things coming in. Since Melissa and I are both "paper junkies" we have been having lot of fun. (I usually say "paper-snobs" but that doesn't shound quite as nice!) Of course fall, Christmas and winter themes are at the top of our list, I feel like the shipments are a bit late, but that is the new normal.
Check out the "sneak peeks" for Julie's classes the weekend of the 29th and 30th this month. The two shown are from Lawn Fawn but Julie will also use stamps and dies from the latest releases from Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts, Pink Fresh and Spellbinders!
Call to reserve your spot on either date. You can take both classes one day or split them up and do one Saturday and one Sunday if that works for you. if that works best for you. The classes are $60 for two or $35 for one. Plan to join us for your holiday inspiration.
See you soon....
What's New?
LOTS!.....In preparation for Julie's classes, we will have lots of Pink Fresh (some is already here), Hero Arts, Spellbinders and Lawn Fawn. We also ordered new fun foil plates. We are trying to work them into classes so you can practice here and get the hang of using fot foil.
We received the latest Graphic 45 paper collections which include the "winter" release and the Little Things collection that features adorable elves and mushrooms. It is whimsical and will even be a good transition into spring!
We are finally starting to get some inks back in stock. It so weird that the oddest things are hard to get! We also have the Stencil Storage Binders from Taylored Expressions back in stock, along with the refill pages. I know people are waiting for these!!!
The orders from Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and Spellbinders along with some additional Pink Fresh product should be coming any day.
We stocked up on Art Glitter Glue and also restocked the fine metal tips and the stainless steel pins. This is my go-to glue!
When you check the classes you will see a class Melissa has scheduled in November.....this class is a bit different than our other classes....watch for details! You won't want to miss it,
