Summer is so much fun!

I say that summer is fun with tongue in cheek.....as you probably know we have already had a couple of fires in our area. Both fires affected our neighbors in Mariposa. Neither the store, Melissa, nor I were in any real danger. The Oak fire was devastating to the Mariposa area but could have been much worse. The fire was "limited" to just under 20,000 acres, but claimed 126 homes. As far as we know, all of our customers from the area are OK. We have our fingers crossed hoping we all get through the rest of fire season safely. Odd we don't seem to call it summer any more.....just fire season. We are grateful to fire fighters who came from across the state and from other states, the fearless pilots who fly into smoke to drop water and retardent, and to those who support them.

On a brighter note, we are happy to have heard from so many of you who are signing up for Stamp Escape 2023. I wasn't sure whether we should start taking sign-ups this far ahead, but so many were asking right after our April event (and even at the event) that we decided to go for it. We have feelers out to a select group of possible teachers. We will let you know who they are as soon as we know for sure. It is always hard to pin teachers down this far out.

Not so far out are two days of classes taught by Julie Kelly! Julie is coming June 20th and 21st. I will post sneak peeks of her classes as soon as I have them. I know she has been waiting for some new products to introduce to you. She will teach morning and afternoon classes each day. If you take both they are $30 each. If you take one it is $35. If a long day is too much for you, you may take one Saturday and one Sunday. If you know Julie, you can be assured her class will be fun!

We hope you are well....see you soon!

                                                              What's New?

FINALLY the "Sticky Mats" for the Misti's have arrived! These mats are great. They come in a pack of three with 1/8", 1/4", and centimeter grid. Check out their video to see how they work. Sticky Mat Video

W
e have the latest Graphic 45 Christmas collection, "Warm Wishes" in stock. We also have a winter collection "Let's Get Cozy" ordered that should ship soon, and and a really fun collection, "Little Things" with adorable toadstools and leprechauns. Both of the collections on order are scheduled to ship around 8/12.

We have ordered from the newest Hero Arts releases. Julie is using some of the stamps and dies in her classes. We also have the catalog available for you to order from. The products are primarily Fall and Christmas, but there are also some new basics.

We have beautiful Fall and Winter papers on order from Echo Park. They have such nice quality paper and always have great coordinating prints front and back. They also tend to use colors that can be used with previous releases making the papers more useful.

We first showed the Spellbinders Glittered Foam sheets at Stamp Escape. They come in packs of 5 sheets of 2 colors. We are selling them by the pack and also by the sheet. The two color packs are black/white, gold/silver, red/green. These cut great with even the skinny word dies and are really easy to mount on your projects.

If you have issues with 3D dies in your die cutting machine, we have the answer. Spellbinders has come out with their Universal Plate System. It is a whole set that includes a base plate, cutting plates, shims, etc. There is a chart of sandwiches for different brands of machines. Using the system in whatever manual machine you own will allow you to get better cutting from your dies and also allow you to run 3D dies though your machine. A lot of thought has gone into this new product. I am using the plate system in our Platinum Machine with the new 3-D fish embossing folder and die set, and 3-D leaf sets from Memory Box for class.    Check out the video here: Universal Cutting Plates

For those of you that know Quill and Doodlebug, here is an ahhhhh moment. Sharing a bed is a new thing that started about 2 weeks ago. I think Quill still likes to keep an eye on his rowdy "brother".
