News Highlights Magnolia Stamps Northwoods Florals |
Hi......Happy May! We finally have spring here in Oakhurst. It looks like we will have great weather for The great Yosemite Stamp Escape this weekend. Yesterday (May 1) Melissa and I worked like little bees.....got all of the door prizes sorted, goody bags stuffed, and unpacked-checked in- repacked 12 cartons of merchandise destined for The Pines. We are really getting caught up in the excitement this week. Not wanting to ignore those who can't attend the event, we also received (and are ordering more) new merchandise not related to the Stamp Escape. You'll read about new things below..... Remember, we will be closed this Saturday, May 4th (and as usual, closed Sunday) while we are at the lake for Stamp Escape. We will be back in the swing of things Monday. We always try to bring back product from the classes taught, so stop by to see what we have. What's New?
Many of you will be happy to know we now have access to Magnolia Stamps! I sent out an email last month mentioning it, but wanted to make sure everyone knows that we can now purchase Tilda and her friends from one of my distributors. They have started carrying the newest of the stamps including the princess collection. They also have the newest edition of the magazine. Ordering for shipment within the US is soooo much easier than ordering directly from a grumpy Swedish guy who sells in Euros and ships in Kilos! After Stamp Escape, we will order some stock in Magnolia stamps, but if there is something you want in particular, let me know and I'll see if I can get it.
For those who like to participate in the stamp of the month and read about using Gamsol to blend your colored pencils, I have Gamsol kits in again. The kit contains a 2oz bottle of Gamsol, 2 blending stumps, a sanding pad to sharpen stumps, and instructions. A gorgeous floral collection with glittery samples has just arrived from Northwoods Rubber Stamps. As always, the samples are beautifully done with water based markers and glitter. These floral stamps would be perfect for Mother's Day and more. The new Color of the Month from Memory Box is Lettuce. We will have greeting card in the new color along with a sample and all products needed to make your own cards. Lettuce is the perfect color for spring and summer. Monday we received a new shipment of the metal shim "Cuttlehug" plates. These work great for the very intricate dies. After Stamp Escape I will be ordering again from Cheery Lynn as they have a new mid-month release coming out. If there is anything from them you might need, let me know. The new Inky Antics board features Honey Pop used in some interesting ways. Check it out when you stop by......Stamp of the Month is May 12th! Hot Tip! Trouble getting paper out of intricate dies? Try placing waxed paper between the die and your cardstock. The first time you do this, the waxed paper will probably stay in the die, just leave it there for future cutting. Usually the cardstock will cut better with the waxed paper and also come out easier. Both Dave Brethauer from Memory Box and Mike Dywan from Cheery Lynn Designs have several videos on YouTube. You might want to check them out as they are very helpful.
See you soon.... |
