Hi there....

Are we having fun yet??? We are doing our best to keep things as normal as possible here. As normal as things can be with a very young kitten!
This little guy was found injured and our EMCSPCA provided the surgery he needed. He had some kind of an impact injury to his lower jaw so he needed stitches in his mouth to reattach the lower lip to the gums and to remove a couple of broken teeth. I took him to care for him following surgery so he has been going back and forth to the store with me. He is quite the character. He loves people and of course, loves to play.  Quill has been very tolerant (much more so than my senior kitties at home). Thankfully there has been no destruction in the store....yet! He did spot the yarn Tuesday :( And no....we have not decided on a name! Oops, I spoke too soon. It seems he has learned how to take a die set off the fixture hook. Rearranging is one thing. Chewing would not be good! But look how innocent he is :)

I think you all know by now that The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape 2020 will not happen! Thanks to everyone who moved their registration over to 2021. We tried to come up with a plan to be able to safely hold the event in October but it was not to be. The Pines has been very cooperative, trying to think of all options but with so much indecision about regulations, we thought canceling this year's plans would be best for everyone. We look forward to 2021. We will be reconfirming teachers and hope our 2020 teachers can fit us in their schedule...but we always have others in the wings!

One thing that the Covid-19 shutdown and other regulations did, was to make us think about Zoom classes. We had thought of it before but were never really motivated, I guess. After shipping to so many of you who live out of the area, and talking to you on the phone about the limited availability of products and classes in your areas, we decided we would give Zoom a try. Last month Barbie Morales taught a class and has one scheduled for the end of this month, too. We are still fine-tuning the way we do the classes and how to make the product easily available, I have also talked to Julie Kelly about virtual classes. There is no way we will be able to have 12 or more in the store any time soon. It is only worth the trip for her if we can have a group of 12 or more. We will probably schedule a Zoom class with Julie for the next Lawn Fawn release. We will keep you posted on all of these virtual classes.

Speaking of virtual......on September 14th and 15th Melissa and I will be attending a virtual trade show. On the 16th and 17th, we will have virtual meetings with the vendors. This should be interesting! We will let you know how it goes and what great new things we see!

We are finally seeing deliveries improve. Next Tuesday we will receive the Memento inks we have had on order for months! Many companies are unable to ship matching stamps and dies, paper and embellishments at the same time. Collections are not all made in the same place and have to be coordinated for release. Also, not all delays are caused by the product being made outside the US. Some delays are due to large warehouses having to limit employees working at one time, employees choosing to go on unemployment, many other factors related to Covid-19. We look forward to everyone getting back on track.

Just like everyone else, we are trying to make the best of a bad situation. We are so glad we have such wonderful, supportive customers. We hope you stay well. If there is anything you need, we will do our best to help you.

                                                                             WHAT'S NEW?

New from Taylored Expressions......Simple Storage. We have the cute little aqua totes that contain two empty containers. They can hold ink cubes or even your blender brushes! We also have the Simple Strips Storage and the stickers that identify which family of stamped-ready-to-go strips that are stored in the container! What a great way to make your crafting life easy.....stamp once, cut once, sort into divided spaces in your Simple Strips Storage container.....now you are ready to go! Easily grab a strip with the perfect greeting for your project. No-fuss, no-muss!

We finally received a fill-in on Copic makers. Remember, if you want to purchase your own refills, send us the color name and number and we will get the refills for you. Each refill contains 12 ml of ink and the refill process is easy! The price is $5.99 each.

We don't have it yet.....but we ordered the entire Graphic 45 Woodland Friends collection. We know this will be as popular as Ocean Blue was! We expect it to arrive later this month. I know we are mountain/forest people here, but I think everyone, no matter where you may live, will love this beautiful collection.

We have two different Value Bundles from Spellbinders. They recently purchased Fun Stampers Journey whose product is featured in these bundles. Each bundle is loaded with goodies from papers to stamps, dies, and embellishments. One bundle is valued at $96.60 and sells for $44.99 (Festive Holiday Bundle) and the other is an $80.60 value for $39.99 (Deck the Halls Bundle). You can see what is in each bundle on our Facebook page

Barbie is working on another Zoom class for Saturday, 9/26. I will send out photos and information when she has samples. Until then, you can see the other September class projects, including Linda's Ocean Blue Book class at Classes!
