Hi everyone!
I hope you are all staying well during this difficult time. We are all fine, and YES, the store is open! As you may know, we postponed The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape 2020 to April 2021. This was a difficult decision but we think it was for the best. Our goal is for everyone to be safe and have fun. We look forward to 2021 when things can (hopefully) get back to normal.

We are having classes as usual with the addition of some fun books and more structural projects. The big news is our first ZOOM class will be August 22nd! Barbie has created four cards with the Honeybee Mailbox dies and stamps. If you are local you will be able to pick up your class kit at the store, if you are out of the area we can mail to you, but you would need to sign up asap as the mail is very slow! We will provide you with a list of basics you will need to take the class and you will get a link to join in live. You will also get a link for the recorded video in case you are not available at class time or need to go back and review. We hope this gives some of our friends who are not close by a chance to take a class now and then. There is more info on our website under classes!

It seems odd to be ordering Christmas when it is so hot. I think we will all make more Christmas cards than usual this year as we may not be having the option of visiting with friends and family. I have placed an order for some very nice dies, stamps, etc from Spellbinders that I think you will like. I think I see my Christmas card in this order!

It looks like the stock of Copic markers is finally available so we will be able to fill in our stock. The new version of the Copic Refills has also been shipped to distributors. As you know, I have always done refill service for $1 per refill. I think I may transition out of the refill service and just start carrying the refills for you to purchase. I would like to hear from you on this topic. The new refills that are 12ml (smaller volume and different shape bottle that the ones I currently have) are $5.49 each. The idea the company has is that making the refills more reasonably priced will help the consumer as not everyone has a store near them with refill service. The previous refills were $8.99. Refilling the pens is easy and something anyone can do. For many of you, this may work better.....let me know what your thoughts are.

You may already know that we have postponed Julie Kelly's class a couple of times. We will wait until things settle down a bit in California to have her in the store. I have refunded everyone who prepaid for her class. We are sorry we had to cancel but I am sure everyone understands.

Our main concern is for our customers and your safety. If you visit the store, you may find when you come in that we may not be wearing a mask. Melissa and I find it very difficult to speak on the phone and breathe through a mask all day. I want you to know that we do have face shields and masks handy and will be happy to do whatever it takes to make you comfortable in the store. We are fortunate that we have plenty of space for customers to shop and maintain social distance. We are maintaining strict cleaning procedures and have hand sanitizer and wipes all over the store. If at any time you are uncomfortable you should let us know and we will do whatever we can to help.

Take care of yourself and your family! Don't watch too much news! Keep your hands and mind busy crafting! And this too shall pass!

Hugs (can I say that?)

                                                What's New?
We are thinking of bringing in 8.5x11 cardstock from Taylored Expressions for open stock. We just received two colors of their heavyweight, smooth paper. I think you will like the feel and the great variety of colors. We will sell it open stock so you can buy 1 piece or 25! We ordered a lovely gray and a warm dark red to see what you think! Stop in to take a look and give us your opinion.

Halloween is here in the form of paper packs and Gnome stamps and dies from PhotoPlay. Those sneaky gnomes are everywhere! I am sure there will be more popping up soon! We also got some cute 6x6 fall paper pads in that order.

I am working on a large order from Spellbinders Holiday Catalog that will be sent in tomorrow. There are some really great designs in their new dies and even some stamps.

I think we will soon have the rest of our elusive "Speckled Egg" products. If you are waiting for product, we will be calling or emailing you when the box arrives. This has taken forever....and has been very frustrating. Thanks for being patient.

In case you didn't see our Facebook post about elastic, we have a re-order of 1/4" flat white elastic and 3mm soft cord elastic. We buy this from our favorite ribbon company, Midori, so it is very nice quality. It is perfect for those of you who are making masks.

The UPS guy just delivered a very heavy box containing the "new" original Misti! It is the size of the original Misti but has some great improvements. You will like the new hinge, the lift tab, and the fact that it comes with a bar magnet with its' own little resting spot! You may need this one (even if you have the original, original one!)

We are trying to be good about posting new arrivals on Facebook, so if you follow us, you will be able to see our new arrivals.
