January News!

Newsletter

Hello;

At this time of the year, I usually write about my trip to CHA (Creativation), the craft trade show. This year I made a hard decision. I decided to skip the show as the show has decreased in size with fewer of my vendors attending. I watched the exhibitors list and the floor plan and was disappointed to see that again the show floor was smaller and more of my regular vendors were not attending. It is very expensive for vendors to attend. They pay large sums of money for booth space, shipping for their booth, transportation for their staff and accommodations. For me, the cost to fly to Phoenix, transportation and accommodation there is over $1000. I decided to spend the money on new product instead of attending the show. I contacted my vendors in advance and told them why I was not attending. They made sure I will have all of the catalogs and information that I usually bring home. I have been sending links for the digital ones I have been getting and as soon as I get the big box of catalogs promised by one of my reps, I will have a catalog day at the store!

Sadly, I can't say I really missed the show as I have never liked the Phoenix Convention Center location. There is a show in Las Vegas in August that I have not attended before but am seriously considering. I will let you know about that possibility as I learn more.

We are talking with our Stamp Escape teachers to make sure the event in April runs smoothly. It is really nice to be working with people who are so well organized! Remember, those of you who have paid deposits will need to pay your balance by 3/1/2020. If by chance you were planning to attend and have found you are unable to come, letting us know by 3/1 will ensure that you get your full deposit back. We are looking forward to seeing our old friends and meeting our newbies!

We are happy to have Julie Kelly coming on March 28 and 29 to teach two classes per day featuring the new Lawn Fawn release. There are some really cool interactive stamps and dies with new mechanisms that do things. I know she will include those. She will teach two different classes Saturday and the same classes on Sunday. Classes are $30 each if you take both, $35 if you only take one. Call or stop by to sign up. You won't want to miss Julie as she won't be at Stamp Escape this year.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

                                        What's New?
I have already placed quite a few orders for new product. Orders will be shipped starting some time this month and will ship through March and April (maybe even longer).

We have new embellishments coming from Buttons Galore. (Very colorful and fun) We ordered the three new paper collections from Graphic 45. I have to say, I am in love with the Ocean Blue collection! It is just stunning! We ordered paper collections, stamps/dies from Photoplay.....we recently received their latest gnome collection. Melissa is using the paper and stamps/dies in her February class. The cards are adorable. Check out Tulla and Norbert in classes!

I received a call today from Mitra at Impression Obsession. Our order shipped today. It should be here by the end of next week. We are working on orders from Art Impressions, Stampendous, Penny Black, to name a few.

As you know we bring in a lot of product at Stamp Escape time. This year that will mean Elizabeth Craft Designs, Impression Obsession, Whippersnapper, Art Impressions, and Concord and 9th will be arriving by mid April.

More orders are written every week...stay tuned!
