Christmas in July

Newsletter

Happy 4th!

I am a bit late getting July news out to you, but it isn't because we were not thinking about you! It seems like the last few weeks time is flying and we are always trying to catch up. I had hoped to have teacher information by now so I could open Stamp Escape registration for 2020, but we haven't quite gotten there yet. Watch your email as I will send out notification when registration opens....and you already know how quickly it fills up!

Julie Kelly will be coming back in August (the 24th and 25th), to teach classes featuring the Fall/Winter Lawn Fawn release. She said there will be at least one interactive card in each class As usual, her classes will be $35 each or $60 if you take both. The morning classes (9:30-noon) will feature the new Halloween/ Fall stamps and dies. The afternoon classes (1:00-3:30) will feature Christmas/ Winter stamps and dies. We are taking sign-ups now and will send photos of the cards as soon as Julie can get them to me. Remember, you can reserve a class with your credit card, but actual payment is by cash or check. We will only charge a credit card if you fail to come to class and have not paid in advance. Julie's classes are always fun, so be sure to sign up soon.

We hope to have a surprise guest teacher in September if scheduling works out.....You will know as soon as I know!

So.....if you were wondering about "Christmas in July", all of the classes this month will be Christmas themed! We wanted to give you a head start on your holiday card ideas.....so get ready for Christmas. I promise...no Christmas music during classes.

Have a happy and safe Independence Day!

                                                          What's New?

We finally received the Water Media Mat from Waffle Flower. If you like to play with watercolor, this is for you.

Our order of the new Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes are on the way. We have had individual brushes and the sets of 10 brushes, but I must say that Taylor reaiiy put a lot of thought into her product. The set of 10 brushes all have 1.5" heads. The soft bristles are white. The handles are all different colors so you can use the green brush for green inks, pink brush for pink inks and so on. The Set of 10 is $48.99. Taylor also designed a revolving stand for the brushes. The stand is light weight and is a perfect way to keep your brushes clean and handy. The stand is $16.99. We were lucky to get our order in when we did. TE sold out within a few hours and now everyone will have to wait for their next big shipment. Also new from TE is the Crafty Friends collection of stamps and dies that feature images and words that are just perfect for cards for your "crafty friends".

If you were lucky enough to take Julie's classes in June, you got to play with the Hero Arts Reactive Inks. Yes, they are similar to Distress Oxides, but they are really different. They are very creamy and the colors are vivid, not muted. Another cool thing is that beside all of the bright colors, there is one called Salt...it is white. You know how hard it is to find a white ink! Yes, (insert your name here) you do need more inks !  :}

The Graphic 45 Wizard of Oz re-release is here. Of course we filled all of our special orders, but we also have some extra packs for those of you who didn't get in on our pre-order. A couple of the papers have been chenged from the original release due to copyright issues, but the great designs, colors and images are the same. If you are an Oz fan, don't pass this up.

Jewel Pickers are back in stock. We have carried them in the past but had been out for a while. When students used them at Julie's classes, they loved them. The Jewel Picker is a great little tool that will pick up all sorts of little things!

We have, not only a great selection of all types of Nuvo Drops, but we also have their Gemstones. They have so many different embellishments for any project you might have.

And for those of you who don't want to.wait for things to dry....we have again ordered all colors in the Doodlebug Sprinkles. Each card has enamel dots in several sizes of a color. We ordered all colors so you can just pick and stick!

All orders from the Summer Impression Obsession and Serendipity stamp catalogs that I had sent in a previous email have been placed. I talked to IO about the fact that there were some images used on samples in the Serendipity calalog that we couldn't find for sale. Because they wanted to get as much out to you as possible, some of the images will be listed in later releases. Serendipity had a very large catalog of images so you will be seeing more soon. It is really nice that Impression Obsession acquired them when the owner retired.

As you can imagine, we can't always have everything for everyone. We are always happy to search our resources and special order whatever we can.

Be sure to check out the classes and call to sign up. Follow us on Facebook for all the latest updates!
