Dear Friends.
I don't know about you, but I am glad the hustle and bustle of the holidays is over. We did, however get to see lots of our annual out-of-towners, which is always fun. We are moving on to 2019 and hoping and planning for a great year. I am planning to attend the Creativation trade show later this month if my pet sitter comes through. Can't leave the fur-babies without reliable care. It seems like the last three years we came home to snow....might have something to do with the reluctance of the pet sitter to make her way up my long curvy driveway if we have snow again.
We have also been disappointed with the Creativation show since it moved to Phoenix. It is definitely not as well attended, and a couple of our vendors (Elizabeth Craft Designs and Heartfelt Creations) will not be showing there, preferring to go to Frankfurt Germany later this month. We have also thought about going to Frankfurt next year, but will need to see how many US vendors will be there. Although it would be fun, there is not much need to see all foreign vendors as shipping of product would really be an issue. If I am able to get to Phoenix (Jan 18-20) I will try to post show photos as I wander the aisles. Make sure to like our facebook page, so you will be able to see the photos.
It is hard to believe we are approaching The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape. April will be here sooner than we realize. Final payments can be sent at any time, and I will send out notices as we get close to the final date to pay. We do have people on the waiting list, and if you did not get a spot you should contact us. You never know whether people will need to drop out, and there might just be a spot for you!
Thanks to everyone who replied to our survey last month. It was really informative, and will help us focus on the styles and types of product that you prefer in the store, and for classes. As you can see when you check out the class schedule for this month, without talking to each other, there seemed to be a common thread (except for me...I guess I am the rebel). take a look....
I really missed not taking a fun trip this year, but I was expecting the new Animal Shelter to be done late in 2018 and knew I would be busy. Well, as with all construction, delays..delays...delays. We are now hoping to open late spring 2019. Nothing ever goes as planned. Several of you have sent generous donations to help us open the doors. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your generosity. The shelter is so important to me and to our community. Our Eastern Madera County SPCA (non-profit group) will be able to serve so many more needy dogs and cats once we open. The exterior, except for lancscaping, fencing, and paving are mostly done.....work is now being done mainly in the interior....this is what the outside looked like prior to rock being applied! Really exciting!
I hope you have all had wonderful holidays with family and friends and will have a happy, healthy year ahead! As always, we want you to know how much we appreciate your business and friendship!
New Year Hugs to you all!!!!!
