Creativation 2018 update, Distress Oxide Ink new colors, and Jennifer Dove class!
I just wanted to get a quick note off to you to let know know that we had a great time at Creativation 2018 in Phoenix, and we think you will have tons of fun touching and feeling (any maybe adding to your stash) all of the cool goodies we ordered. Of course there were the companies we know and love like Graphic 45, Spellbinders, Hero Arts, Stampendous, Lawn Fawn, Altenew and more.....then there were some new companies like PhotoPlay and Pink Fresh Studio that we added to our list of favorites.
I don't know if it means anything, but we actually wrote at least twice the number of orders at the show this time. Usually we take notes and place orders when we get home, but this time I guess we saw lots that we 'just had to have'. Of course the orders we placed on the spot were only the beginning. Melissa and I spent all day Tuesday writing orders from the catalogs we brought back, and we are waiting on some companies so you can give us your input! Soooo, if you are in the area and want to stop in and catalog shop, feel free! Any day we are open with the exception of class times is fine. We will probably want to place the additional orders within the next two weeks. Your input is always important to us.
We have ordered the 12 new colors of Distress Oxide Ink Pads and Refills. As before, if you want the bundle of all 12 pads and refills, we will give a 10% discount. Please email if you want to be on the list for the bundles. Here are the new colors:
As you probably know, Jennifer Dove is returning to teach again this year at Stamp Escape. She is a fabulous artist, stamp designer, colorist and specializes in Copic Markers. Jenn actually teaches a Copic Bootcamp in Phoenix, but we know that is not something everyone can do. Jenn and her family will be coming to Oakhurst for two weeks in April/May which gives us time to schedule some classes outside of Stamp Escape. Here is what we have planned.
I have arranged for the community room at the Oakhurst Library as the store classroom will be in complete chaos at that time.
Jenn will teach a 3 hour class. You will be given 3 pre-stamped images that you will learn to color with basic and special techniques. You will also receive materials to turn your completed images into cards at home.
The class fee is $28 (which is a steal, in my opinion)
Jenn will have a (different) bonus card available for you to purchase for $7 cash at the class
I have the community room reserved for Tuesday, April 24th. The time will depend on how many sign up. We may do one class, or two classes. There is a chance I could also get the room the 25th if we need it. At this point we are planning to have Jenn teach one class.....if we do two classes, the second class will be the same as the first. If we decide to do something different, I will let you know. If you are interested in taking a class with Jenn (these classes will not be the same as her Stamp Escape classes), let me know asap so she and I can finalize everything.
