Can't believe it's June!

Hello,
I hope everyone who attended the 2017 Great Yosemite Stamp Escape has finally recuperated. I know it took us a couple of weeks! It was a fun weekend with really good feedback from the students. Unfortunately there was a bit of a mix-up at The Pines Resort for 2018. We had confirmed dates the first weekend in May, 2018 and had all of our chalets and suites blocked. About a week after the event, I received a call saying that although they had blocked the accommodations, they had sold the meeting rooms to a wedding party! It has taken some scrambling, negotiating and compromise..... mostly on my part....so we have moved everything to the last weekend in April. If you made reservations before you left for the first weekend in May, they have been moved to the last weekend in April, 2018. You should be receiving an email from The Pines with confirmation of your new dates. If you do not, I would suggest you contact them at 559-642-3121. I am keeping a close eye on the rooms, but don't want to have any slip-ups. If you have any difficulty at all, call me and I will talk to them.
In order to keep the cost of our event at $275 per person. we will be making a few minor changes. I emailed a survey to attendees and about 50 have given me their thoughts. I will be getting the registration forms done and will send out an email when the forms are ready and registration opens. I will also be updating the information on the website and will be adding information on the teachers as I confirm them. Be sure to watch for emails from The Cat's Meow!
We have been receiving special orders as follow up to Stamp Escape and are just about caught up. While we are always busy with our event at the lake this time of year, we are also busy in the store and want to keep things fresh and new for everyone. Crazy as we are, we bought, assembled and merchandised 4 new fixtures the week before our event...like we didn't have enough to do! I really like the new fixtures and think they are a great addition to the store. Quill also loves them because he can jump straight from the floor to the top and can survey his domain from there. What a guy!
Pretty handsome, isn't he????
As summer kicks in, we hope to see more and more of our customers, many who live out of the area and check in with us during summer months. Be sure to keep an eye on our class schedule, too. Robin has been off for a couple of months while she concentrates on our new position on the design team with Heartfelt Creations. She will be back in July.
I hope you are well and will find time to stop in soon! Check out What's New! below.
What's New?
One of the things that everyone loved in Karen's class at Stamp Escape was mineral paper. It is a really interesting paper and is fun to use. I have it in 9x12 pads. It is 'tree free' and many people use it in place of Yupo Paper which is 100% polypropylene.
A shipment from Altenew arrived this week. There were lots of new stamp sets, some with dies. We also received a large order from Impression Obsession and are already working on another order to fax off to them. Can't resist the goodies from the latest release.
I love the newest designer from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The addition of Moda Scraps to ECD provides a nice variety of styles. We received a couple of the latest Moda Scraps dies in our recent order. We can hardly wait to get the new Moda Scraps paper pads.
We should have our latest order from Lavinia Stamps within a week or two. Everyone loves their fairies..... you will want to see what we ordered from their new release.
