Newsletter

   APRIL 2017t.

Welcome to Spring!
As you can see, we have a new format for our newsletter. In an attempt (probably futile) to keep up with technology, our new newsletter format is designed to work better on tablets and cell phones. I am just attempting to get used to the new format, so I hope you will bear with me.

As you can imagine, April is pretty busy around here with The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape 2017 just around the corner! We are busy writing orders for product for the event and also orders for new fun things to fill the store. As crazy as it sounds at a time like this, we are actually considering some ways to move things around to better accommodate all of the new things that are arriving every day.The teachers are preparing materials for their classes and we are in constant contact with them working on details. We are already thinking ahead to 2018, but NO, we are not taking registrations yet.

With Spring weather outside our window, we are getting in the tossing and rearranging mood. When this happens, look out! Next time you come in everything may be in a different place. We have ordered some new display pieces that we think will make it easier to find and see things. It has been a looong winter, so watch out! You never know what we might do! Tossing doesn't always mean in the trash, either...sometimes it means marking things down to make room for new. We kind of do this in spurts with no season or reason in mind...but it will be to your benefit to find things at 25%-50% off. It may take us a couple of weeks, but will be worth the wait.

We hope you have survived the winter months as we have. We have heard of flooding is areas where some of our customers live, evacuations of many people. We have done pretty well here with the exception of my driveway which I constantly complain about.....enough said!

If you have any issues viewing this newsletter, let me know so I can have the powers that be fix it!

Stop by soon so we can catch up!

 What's New?
Where do I start? As I sit here writing, I see so many things. Certainly we have a lot of new things from Tonic and their Nuvo line. The 'entry level' alcohol markers are here. Nuvo Creative Pens have a unique market. They are packaged in sets of three shades of a color and are not refillable. They are a disposable pen which I thinks makes them an introduction to using alcohol markers. They are very reasonably priced at $5.99 (for three pens) which is a killer deal! Yes, when they are empty you throw them away, but then you can gradually move on to the refillable Copic markers that last a lifetime!

We also have Jewel Drops from Nuvo in all 8 shades. These are semi-transparent dimensional colors and are really fun to use.

Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady and Midnight Masquerade collections have come in. We also have reordered some of the Nature's Sketchbook items that were really popular.

We have new shipments from Elizabeth Craft Designs, My Favorite Things, Taylored Expressions, Kaiser Craft, Stampendous, My Sweet Petunia (Misti), Thermo-Web (Foil Mates) and more. Of course we get shipments just about every week from our distributors who represent hundreds of companies.

We are looking to consolidate our ink (pad) companies and would like your input. If you have a minute, let us know what your go-to black ink is and why. Also do you use mainly pigment ink or dye ink? Do you heat emboss? Do you like to use inks from mainly one company? Do you buy a variety of colors of ink pads or use mostly black and use other methods to color? We value your thoughts!

We have a new collection of Unicorn/Castle/Princess/Knight paper and stamps coming soon....it is very cute!
