I know you just love hearing how close to Christmas we are! I shot of an email the other day with the number of days to Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas and got some pretty funny responses! That's what I get for trying to be 'helpful'! You can never start planning too soon.
I am just happy that the nights are getting cooler which makes me think Fall is close. I will be more comfortable when we have our first rain and the concern for fires decreases. I love Fall, Winter and Spring.....I am just not a summer girl! Besides, there aren't many fun holidays in the summer! At least not the card-making kind.
We have had lots of fun at the store, though. In June, Sandy Allnock came to teach three classes and just a couple of weeks ago, Terry Medaris stopped by to teach two classes using Prismacolor pencils. Everyone had a great time, and I thought their work looked great! We are looking forward to Angelica Turner coming in October (8th and 9th). She will teach two classes Saturday, a spring themed class and a summer themed class. Then Sunday her two classes will be Christmas theme and winter theme. As always, her cards are beautiful with lots of flower shaping, and special folds and dimension. The classes are pretty full, but if you are interested, call us so we can see if we can fit you in. Classes are $35 each or $130 for all four.
I think what I love about this time of year is ordering all of the fun holiday product. We added a new vendor, Lavinia Stamps from Wales. They have a style like no other company. It is always more challenging to order from companies out of the country, but the response to Lavinia was really worth it. At this point, I will probably plan to order from them four times a year. If you want to see what they are about, check out their website or Pinterest. Lots of Fairies and mystical images. If there is something you can't live without, send me a list with the names of the stamps (they don't have item numbers) and I will include them in my next order. The more we have on the list, the sooner I will order.

Because I always forget when I am writing the newsletter, we will be closed Monday, September 5th for Labor Day! Then, we will have regular hours until Thanksgiving when we will close early (3pm) the day before Thanksgiving and be closed Thanksgiving Day. We will be open regular hours Friday and Saturday that week so you can stop in after your 5am trip to Walmart! (I don't expect you to remember this....but now I might remember to include it in the November newsletter :)
There are lots of new goodies in and soon to arrive, so I will move on to What's New?
Stop in soon to check everything out and check out our class schedule at www.catsmeowstamps.com/classes
There is so much new....we love new! Of course, Lavinia Stamps with everything mystical. They have great foliage stamps....very different. All stamps are clear and nice quality. Perfect to use in your Misti, especially the silhouette stamps. With the Misti, you can re-ink a couple of times and get that perfect silhouette! We have the Misti in stock in Original and Mini sizes.
We have paper, stamps and matching dies from Avery Elle. I love the new plaid paper!
We have dies and stamps from Impression Obsession and have just placed another large order.
Penny Black clear sets, a few cling and and lots of dies are also here. I think they have the best holiday word (and all occasion word) clear sets.
DoodleBug Christmas and Halloween paper and matching embellishments are in stock. This includes the ever-popular 6x6 pads. We also have a selection of their adorable limited edition pins! You will want them all...kitty, puppy, froggy, vintage travel trailer, and Santa with a Christmas tree on top of his car.
Our order of Nuvo is here. We have one rack full of Crystal Drops and Glitter Drops but we have ordered a second rack because we ordered more colors that one rack would hold :) As soon as that rack arrives (along with a few more colors) it will be easier for you to see what we have. Right now the rack is crammed with color! The fun thing about this product, and what makes it different from Stickles and other similar products is that it dries dimensional.....you can make your own pearls! If you make a dot on your cardstock and tap the cardstock on your table, you can achieve a flattened round dot that looks exactly the Sprinkles and Enamel Dots from other companies......but you make your own at a fraction of the cost. You can make them ahead on wax paper or a craft sheet and glue them on your project when you are ready......make any size and color you want.
The vintage Christmas collection from Graphic 45 is on the way. We also have a large order coming from Hero Arts. I have to say, I am so happy to see Hero Arts looking like the Hero Arts I know and love! They have some really great things in this latest release.
Of course, what would Halloween be without Taylored Expressions? Melissa's class this month is featuring Taylored Expressions newest Halloween images and dies.
We will be stocking up on Heartfelt Creations prior to Angelica Turner's classes in October....so all of you Heartfelt fans will be happy! Of course we will have the newest collections as well as ones Angelica will use from spring and summer.
We have placed another large order with Memory Box and Poppy Stamps that includes the Plush (felt) dies.....keep an eye out for Melissa's class
Lots for you to see when you come in...and lots more that we will be ordering....just can't resist!
