Yep....I just checked and it is true! 2016 if half gone. July is here and we are already looking at Christmas product. How can that be? I must have been sleeping. I have been getting emails from vendors the last few days featuring Halloween, Fall/Thanksgiving, and Christmas. One even had a Valentine's Day collection.....oh, my gosh! It is 102 degrees and my brain does not compute.
I need to bring everyone up to date on The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape 2017. You may know by now that the event is full. This just amazes me...that we could possibly be full in less than a month after the 2016 event. Each day, registration forms with payment came in at such a pace that we could barely process them. We definitely did not have time to notify the "regulars" and people who were planning to come with others but were too late. I am sorry to say that many who want to attend did not get in. I an taking a waiting list, and as I have told the people already on the list, I am sure some will need to drop out for different reasons, and we will have room to put wait-list people in. Thank you all for making this event so much fun that without any advertisement, we can have an event that so many people want to attend. We are getting close to our first weekend of special classes for the year. July 8 & 9, Sandy Allnock will be here to teach two Copic classes and a Tombow Watercolor class. We only have a week, but if you have not signed up and want to attend, call and I will see what I can do to fit you into the class. Our second guest teacher is Terry Medaris. Terry has taught a couple of times in the past. Terry uses Prismacolor pencils to do the most vibrant designs you will ever see. They look nothing like any other artists colored pencil work. Terry is also an excellent teacher. He will teach his basic class in the morning and a jewelry class in the afternoon. TERRY'S BEAUTIFUL VIVID COLORS!  In the afternoon class, you will make three jewelry pieces of your choice which you will place in provided mounts.  Terry's classes are Saturday, August 20th. Call us if you want to sign up. You must take or have taken the basic class to sign up for the jewelry class. We also have Angelica Turner coming in October and still have a few spots in her classes. I will post photos of her classes next month. Keep an eye on your inbox and on facebook for new information and new arrivals!  What's New?Well, I wish I could tell you that I just got a UPS truck full of Copics, but no such luck. This week we received another part of our outstanding order....15 pens! Not 15 boxes of pens, 15 pens! Needless to say, there are still colors we do not have. Still waiting..... We did, however get a nice big order of Tombow Markers today so we have plenty of stock for Sandy's Watercolor Class. We have Memory Box and Poppystamps coming our way soon...new release with lots of clear stamp sets and matching die sets. It is really good to see them getting back in the stamp business. We missed their cute images and great words. We have a great Halloween display board on order. For all of you Halloween people, this one offers Steampunk, witches, and a great OWL......really cool! We are ordering and receiving new paper and stamp collections to take us through the end of the year....be sure to stop by and see what we have that is new. Like us on facebook, too!
