Summer Guest
Teachers:

Sandy Allnock
Terry Medaris
Angelica Turner

Hello....summer is here! It is HOT in central California! I drove around the lake last evening after Melissa and I shopped at the Bass Lake Farmer's Market, and I can't believe how high the lake level is! It is probably higher than it has been in four years. What a beautiful sight.

It was nice to have a 'real lake' for Stamp Escape. Our ladies had a great time, and as usual, the teachers were wonderful. We are being bombarded with registrations for 2017....can you believe it? The dates for 2017 are May 5, 6, & 7. We are already three fourths full and will be taking a wait list. If you are interested, you can check out The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape on the website and will find the link to the registration form there.

We have been really busy recovering from Stamp Escape.....some companies allow us to return merchandise that we over-buy, and we always have tons of special orders for things people want that we didn't buy in enough depth. This is always a bit hectic and takes about a month to complete.

While we are doing all of that we are planning for our guest teachers we have lined up. July 8 & 9, Sandy Allnock is returning to teach two Copic classes and one Watercolor class (using Tombow Markers). There are three spots left in the Friday Hex class. This is a technique class where you will learn over 40 techniques using Copic markers. The class is from 10-3 and the fee is $70. If you are interested please call as soon as possible.....559-642-6611.

In August, Terry Medaris is returning to teach his Prismacolor Blending and also a Jewelry class. He will be here Saturday, August 20th. The morning class, from 9:30-12:30 will be Beginning Prismacolor Blending. You will learn how to blend bright, vibrant colors to give your stamping and artwork a new exciting look.

The afternoon class from 1:30-4:30 will be The Jewelry class. Using the techniques you learned in the beginning class, you will color pre-punched art board that you will stamp with Terry's wonderful images, and mount your art into three different shaped metal jewelry pendants to create your own beautiful personalized jewelry pieces. You must take (or have taken) the beginning class to take the jewelry class. Each class is $35, or $30 each if your are taking both.
Reserve your space by calling. Students need to bring their Prismacolor pencils, at least a set of 36, a kneaded eraser and a pencil sharpener.

In October, we will have Angelica Turner here on Saturday and Sunday, the 8th and 9th. She will be teaching two classes each day. Saturday 9-12 will feature the Sunrise Lily collection from Heartfelt Creations. Saturday 1-4 will feature the Berry Cafe Collection. Sunday 9-12 will be a Christmas collection, yet to be released, and 1-4 will feature a winter collection. All classes will be three cards. Each class is $35, if you take all four the fee is $130. Call to reserve space.

We have received lots of new merchandise; dies, stamps, papers, embellishments, etc. We got in a great display board from Northwoods Rubber Stamps.

There are a variety of images, but the ones we are always looking for and are hard to find are the nice masculine ones. There is pretty much something for everyone on this board.

We have gotten in a good variety of Wink of Stella again. Jennifer McGuire has a great youtube tutorial on coloring with Wink of Stella. If there is interest, we can do a class with it! Lots more to see, be sure to stop by!

                       What's New?

As mentioned, Wink of Stella, Patriotic paper, (2 collections), dies from Sue Wilson, Marianne, Frantic Stamper, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Taylored Expressions, Stamps and inks from Altenew. Filled in of Felt and dies that cut felt. There is more arriving almost daily. Thanks for supporting your local store....we are happy to be hee to serve you!
