 Hi there!
Here we are praying for rain without lightning to help put our wildfires out. The one closest to us is now at about 3500 acres and only 30% contained. You would think since it is burning in an area of a previous burn (2001) there wouldn't be much to burn but it is exactly the opposite! This has been a very hot and unpredictable fire. Yesterday another one started near Mariposa which is not far from us either. We pray for the safety of our friends and firefighters. Let's hope that the prediction of a strong El Nino becomes a reality! I posted a few pictures of the fire area on our facebook page if you are interested.

Now for happier news! As I mentioned (more than mentioned ) in last months newsletter, Stamp Escape 2016 is filling up. I have sent an email to those who have been listed on registration forms we have already received under "I will be attending with....." If your friends don't sign up soon they will be on the waiting list :). We have only 20 spaces left before we go to the waiting list and we want to do everything we can to make sure those who want to come have a spot. We will stick to our limit of 100 students, and no....we will not have a second event!

I know those who attended Els classes in July really had a great time. She is such a great teacher and a lot of fun. She is making plans for her best classes ever at Stamp Escape.

We have gotten tons of great merchandise in these past few weeks. We have also ordered most of our fall and Christmas product...still working on more orders. We have been getting very excited about the newest releases from My Favorite Things. You will see their stamps and dies used in Melissa's classes this month. Robin is featuring mostly Memory Box dies in her class...really cute fall ones. By the way, we will be placing another order from Memory Box/Poppy Stamps and will be getting in their latest Holiday supplement with that order. We try to get enough catalogs and supplements for everyone, but if you want one, shoot me an email and I will put you on the list. As usual they have wonderful new goodies.

One of the lines we ordered is the Graphic 45 Christmas Carol collection. It should be here soon. Their Christmas papers are always wonderful with a very vintage theme, this one is no exception.

In the Classes section of the website,  you will see a couple og things that need explanation....first, is on Saturday August 29th, Linda Mosley is teaching a Halloween Class. I don't have a sample and won't for about another week. I know the project is a book with lots of fun techniques and embellishments. Once Linda gets the sample to me, I will email the particulars. What I do know is we will set up in the building next door so everyone can have plenty of space. Also, the class will run as long as it takes everyone to finish......so get ready for some fun!
Second, following Stamp Escape 2015, Kathy Swanson has been playing with Color Burst. And she has been using it on several types of paper. She has developed three cards that utilize one 8.5x11 piece of cardstock colored with Color Burst pigments. We would like your input on whether this technique is of interest to you. If so, she will teach the class in September. Using powdered pigments is really fun (kinda messy), and offers lots of design options!

Bu the first part of September, we should have received all of our fall and holiday orders so we want to encourage you to start planning your Christmas Cards! We are always happy to order any specialty papers, stamps or dies you need. But remember, the vendors can take several weeks to ship so you need to give us time.

Check out What's New....and plan to sign up for our fun classes! We enjoy our time with you!
What's New?
You may have already seen Graphic 45 Rare Oddities and Gilded Lily. Both collections are perfect for any type of paper craft. We still have plenty of stock in both.

We have ordered fall and Halloween from Doodlebug for the whimsical collections and they should be here soon.

We have received our fall and Christmas stamps from Impression Obsession. They are designed by Lindsay Ostrom, a well known artists who has been in the business for years. These are very fun images.

Our first order from Little B came in yesterday. It includes a selection of dimensional stickers, some really great washi tape in several widths, and a new piercing tool with a magnet on the other end. All great quality and well priced. We will have the rest of our order soon which will include wonderful Halloween Washi Tapes.

We were really excited to again be able to offer mirror cardstock. We carried it years ago (long before die cutting machines) until our vendor vanished. We now have it from another great vendor so we have in stock, black, silver, gold, copper, red and stardust holographic cardstocks. These will be fabulous for cutting some of the holiday dies!

We also have the Christmas release from Hero Arts which Melissa featured in her class in July. We cannot keep the Ombre ink pads in stock! We have more on the way in case you missed getting the colors you want.

We have a few pieces of the Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia collection left in stock. Call us if you want the paper pad, basic poinsettia stamp set or matching die set.

Just to tease you....we are going to place an order next week from My Favorite Things.....let me tell you how cute the new collection is! And, just when you think you can't possible NEED any more circle, square, rectangle or oval dies, think again! They also have these great interactive dies that cut these little windows (flaps that open)...very cute to have little creatures peeking out! Can't wait to have them in our little paws!

This is the best time of year for us here in the store.....we love ordering all of the wonderful products that make your holidays more special. Be sure to take a look at the classes....there will be lots of holiday ideas in the next couple of months to inspire you.
