News Highlights Stamp Escape New Goodies Cool Classes |
Hi everyone!
We are counting the days to The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape 2015. In case you are wishing you were coming, we have had one student drop out due to family illness, so there is one open spot. Call if you are interested (559-642-6611). Here is what we are doing in preparation.....Every day we are checking in merchandise that will be sold at the event. We try our best to have everything the teachers are featuring. So far, here is the stash that has been checked in and re-boxed to go to the lake! Lots more to come!  Yesterday we sorted door prize and goody bag donations so we can put everything together at the last minute.....don't want to leave anything out. A couple of hints, something for EVERY goody bag from Memory Box, Scorpal, Tombow, Hero Arts, and others promised! Plus, The Cat's Meow gift this year is something customers have been asking for in class for years! Check out the goody bag treasures....  Getting photos from the teachers of their projects is such fun. I hope everyone who wants to come has been able to sign up this year. If not, 2016 is going to be exciting. Yes, we are so far ahead of ourselves we don't even know what year it is. We have our contracts with The Pines and the room block is actually open for those of you who want to make your reservations early (very early)! And so that we never cease to amaze, we will have a BIG surprise announcement at Stamp Escape this year! Want a sneak peek of what students will make at Stamp Escape 2015?   and there are LOTS more! While we are concentrating on Stamp Escape, we can't forget those who support us daily and love the selection and inspiration we provide. We are also receiving lots of new product not related to Stamp Escape. As you can imagine from seeing the photos last month, the My Colors Heavy Weight 12x12 cardstock has need a big hit. We are still waiting for the 12x12 Swiss Dot to arrive. Thanks to those who let me know that the removable stickers on the Heavy Weight left a bit of residue on some colors. I contacted the manufacturer and they are changing their stickers to an adhesive more like a Post-It note. Your input is really important to the manufactures and they do listen. A couple of things we are looking into....bottle tips with fine tips that do not clog. You may have seen some YouTube videos on these. We have ordered them to try out and will keep you posted. We are thinking of them for products like Glossy Accents and some glues that tend to thicken and clog and pretty much get thrown in the trash. If these tips turn out to be as good as we hope, we will stock them....stay tuned. Bling Books are not new, we have had them a couple of months, but I thought you might like to see this photo. They are Quill's Product Pick of the Month!  These Bling Books or Wallets hold a wide variety of bling in the color of the leather cover. The Hot Pink has the neutrals, clear to black. They retail for $9.99 and can be refilled or even used for credit cards or photos when empty. A great gift and you will, of course, need one in every color! We hope to see you soon...remember, we will close the store Saturday and Sunday, May 2 & 3, while we are at Bass Lake for Stamp Escape.  What's New?We received this beautiful board and stamps from Northwood's Rubber Stamps. As usual the card samples sparkle and everyone loves them. This board has a wildlife, masculine theme and has several images that are perfect for the fisherman or outdoorsman in your life. Think of Father's Day and masculine birthdays.  Have you been in the store since we moved our dies around to feature them by manufacturer? This is just Memory Box...and there are more! We have dies from Elizabeth Craft Deigns, including Susan's Garden, Taylored Expressions, My Favorite Things, Penny Black, Spellbinders, Lifestyle Crafts, Lawn Fawn, Little B, Cheery Lynn, Impression Obsession and others. We are always open to looking at new companies and can often special order from one of our distributors.  FYI, just in case you have a child or grandchild who is in school and has class projects, we are expanding our basic craft line to include some of the things commonly used in school projects.
