It's Stamp Escape time!

May 2014

News Highlights

Hi;

I am just barely going to get this off to you in time for you to see the class schedule for May before May begins! To say things are a bit busy around here is an understatement. It seemed like Melissa and I were putting out fires today. We were filling Goody Bags, putting together door prizes, and keeping our heads above water. I think this Stamp Escape, our 13th, is unique in a way I didn't expect. I think we are the walking wounded! You know I have partially recovered from a broken shoulder and will have surgery May 15th to repair damage. We have people coming on crutches, in a wheelchair, one who thought she might need cardiac bypass surgery and might miss the event (luckily she will be able to attend) another who will have heart valve replacement, two who cannot attend because their husbands are in the hospital.......the list goes on. I think this is a time for us to really appreciate the time we have together having fun, doing what we love to do.Crafting is very theraputic and I think we will all have a great time with friends as we learn from some great teachers. I have been getting calls and emails every day from our teachers who are the most enthusiastic we have ever had. Today I even had a call from a stamp company asking if I would consider one of their designers as a teacher for next year! Could it be possible that I might even get the teachers lined up early for 2015?

Remember the store will close Friday, May 2nd at 5pm for the welcome party and will be closed Saturday and Sunday while we are all at The Pines Resort for the weekend. We will open again Monday (Melissa will be at the store and I will be taking teachers to the airport). We will be unpacking the merchandise left from the weekend so if you were not able to attend Stamp Escape, next week will be the time to see what the excitement was about.

Not everything revolves around Stamp Escape......it just seems that way. We have more orders on the way, and we are hoping to be able to plan a Copic Retreat early in 2015. Jennifer Dove, who is teaching this weekend, puts on retreats in Arizona, but would like to do one for us! She will be previewing what she would teach during demo time at Stamp Escape and we will be putting those interested on a wish list. I will see if she would be willing to leave some samples of her work with me so everyone can see just how talented she is. I know anyone interested in learning her techniques will want to attend! I will keep you posted.

I hope you are enjoyng spring (if that is what this wierd weather is) and that we all recover what all of the things that ail us! My June newsletter will be typed with my left hand so look out!

                                             What's New?

There will be lots of goodies from Memory Box, Stampendous, Impression Obsession and Elizabeth Craft Design! We also received new dies from Little B, a new company. They package their dies with a magnetic insert so they stay nice when you store them. Very cool! (NO, they have not shipped the Perfect Positioner yet!)

We have restocked the stamps on the beautiful Penny Black board everyone loves. We also have a nice selection of stamps from Hero Arts new release! I will just say the collection is very cosmic!

Be sure to check out the die snips and files from Elizabeth Craft Design.....they are great for separating dies that come with the little pieces hooked together.

The Mini Distress Ink kits are here in all 6 color combos. Yes, there are 3 new ones. We LOVE these small pads.

Of course there will be lots more arriving in May.....stop by soon to check everything out!
