Hi;
It always takes months, and I always feel like I am on a deadline, but working to get the best teachers who will teach a nice variety of class projects takes some time. That is my excuse...now here is the good news. We have four great teachers scheduled for The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape 2014! You can click this link to be taken to The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape page on The Cat's Meow website. This will give you the entire rundown of the weekend events. I am very excited that I was able to get four wonderful teachers again this year.

You may know Karen Burniston who had designed many dies for Sizzix. Karen will teach her pop-up cards in several different themes.Karen is a very dynamic teacher and much in demand so we were lucky to get her!  Be sure to click on the links you will find in each teacher description. This will give you more of an idea of their styles. Remember, the photos I post along with the little teacher bio are only a hint of twhat the teacher might have you do in class. Each teacher will use the newest images, dies, papers and embellishments in their classes.

If you have been stamping for a looong time, you might remember the beautiful Denami how-to books that were published when you could not find anything similar. Well, Linda Bradbury and her sister, Linel Mehus designed and published those books. They designed and made all of the lovely cards in the book using Denami stamps. I actually called Linda asking her to teach, and was happy to get both sisters who will co-teach! They design classes using many different companies and we have not definitely decided on who they will feature, but we should know that soon.

I found Jennifer Dove while scouring the Stampendous catalog. She is on their design team, and I was taken with her wonderful use of color. Check out her blog and you will see that she also does Copic Retreats. Jennifer and I are actually planning one here in mid-September, 2014. We haven't ironed out the details yet, but I just wanted to give you a little hint of things to come. In her class at Stamp Escape, Jennifer will give us an advance color list for pens (Copic or water-based) and colored pencils so you can bring whatever you like to use to color.

Pam Sparks is on the Memory Box design team and you will love her use of their dies, stamps and paper. We will be excited to see what Dave comes up with for the 2014 release for both Memory Box and poppystamps. Pam is a long time stamper and I think her use of dies is exceptional. As with all the ladies, we are pleased to have such talent for The Great Yosemite Stamp Escape 2014.

I know many of you have already made your hotel reservations at The Pines. If you have not done that yet, please don't wait too long. I have a large block of chalets and suites reserved., but I know they have some other things going on that weekend (May 2-4) so if we fill up I might not be able to add to my block.

I think one of the biggest hits this year was the addition of coffee to the classrooms. We will do that again and if all goes will we will also have the special buffet lunch available on Saturday at Ducey's. Be sure to attend, this will be a wonderful weekend that you shouldn't miss. You can print out a registration form and mail a check or drop it by the store. If you like to use Paypal, you can pay online, however there is a $10 fee for that service. We hope to see you at The Pines in May......and many times before that too!

There are lots of new things in stock for you to fondle :), and something different in the class schedule....you will see that I am actually teaching a calendar class. You probably got the email I sent about a week ago announcing the class. I was planning it for Saturday, October 5th, but it filled up so quickly that I had to add Tuesday, October 8th. I am looking forward to sharing the book construction techniques for this perpetual calendar.

Be sure to check out the class schedule on the website.

See you soon;
