October 5th class...a calendar at last!
We get so many requests for calendar classes every year, but our dedicated, wonderful, inspirational teachers don't like doing calendars......that means you are left with me!
On Saturday, October 5th, I will teach a class that is a book/perpetual calendar. You will learn to build the book and embellish each month. I look at the project as a perpetual event calendar. Each month has pockets where you can insert important dates such as birthdays, anniverseries and other events. You can also add a real calendar with your choice of years. Therefore, the possibilities are endless.
The class is $25 and all materials are included except adhesive and glitter glue.
Here is what you would need to bring:
A 12" paper trimmer with a good blade.
Strong tape such as Scor-tape in 1/4" or 1/2 inch. You really need this to construct the book.
You can also use tape runner to put the inside pieces together, however if you have patience and time, Scor-tape would make a book that lasts a long, long time.
Bring a pencil and ruler, and a bone folder.
I used diamond glitter glue, but you can do this at home if you want.
In class we will construct the book step by step. We will then decorate at least one month...or as many as you want to hang around to do. Once you have decorated one month, you can easily finish the other 11 at home.
Class will start at 9:30 but finish time depends on how fast people work.....don't make plans to meet anyone for lunch :)
You will need to sign up asap so I can prepare your kits.Space will be limited.
