Ordering Fall and Christmas

Memory Box Bonanza

Stampendous is here

Hi there;

It's not the store birthday, but Melissa and I are both having birthdays this month! I wonder when you quit celebrating birthdays.....hmmmm. Maybe we should have a party.

I am expecting a visit from my rep Joan next week to bring us samples from the summer CHA show. It was in Las Vegas at the end of July, and was not a very big show, however, Joan said the show was very good even though there were fewer vendors. Our winter show is the big one and we will be attending that in early January. We are looking forward to what Joan will have to show us. This is the time for Christmas  and fall paper. We have already ordered a fun line of Halloween paper. We must really be in a Halloween mood this year. The Stamp of the Month is Halloween, and we have a great Northwood's board with Halloween images. In fact, Robin is using some of them in her class this month. Linda is home from the hospital and planning to teach the Halloween Accordion Album class we had to cancel due to her health. Check the class schedule and be sure to call and let us know if you want to attend. You will not automatically be signed up if you had planned to come last time.....you will need to sign up again.

We are anxious to see the BoBunny release in person. They always have beautiful paper and we think their fall collection may be the one we choose. We have already ordered a traditional Christmas collection fromGraphic 45 and are looking for a whimsical Christmas collection.

We have found some new embellishments that we like from Doodlebug. They have packs of mini pearls that have two shades of a color in each package. There are 84 pearls in 3 sizes in a pack. I think the Doodlebug colors are what attract us to that line.

We are working on teachers for Stamp Escape 2014. We will keep you posted on the teachers as we finalize them. We have a slight glitch with our date as CHA has decided not to have the summer show which is usually in July but they will be sharing a show with NAMTA which is an art materials show and is ...guess when...the same weekend as Stamp Escape. I don't want to try to move our event to another date, and we have no idea whether vendors will attend the show or not. It is not a good time for their schedule as fall and winter releases are in July/August. There is no way they would be ready to release the first weekend on May. We will just have to work a little harder and be more creative in locking in our teachers.

By the time you get our next newsletter, we will know more accurately what we have coming for the fall and winter holidays.....stop by soon!

What's New?

Memory Box....the winter release is here and is spread out over the back tables. It was a little late in coming because our faxed order got stuck between some paper bags and a pile of dies......good excuse, Dave! I will say, however that this release was worth waiting for. There are so many wonderful new dies and stamps. I can see dozens of Christmas cards in my mind. We also have their new BIG catalog.

I hope you are enjoying browsing through the new catalog supplements from the online links I am sending. Unfortunately they don't all come with pricing but we are happy to look up prices for you.I think the catalogs are really great for ideas as most use well known artists or bloggers to design their samples. They are great for those times you might have a creative block.

We got in a fun Back to School paper collection from Echo Park. It is very versatile with apples, flowers, school supplies, and lots of other colorgul designs.

You will love the new Northwood's Rubber Stamps Halloween sample board. It is so colorful and whimsical. I love the witch who hit a pole while flying her broom! There are great bats and cats, and wonderful pumpkins.  We just love it!

We have a new board from Darcies using Tin Pins. The stamp images are cute kids in Halloween costumes. We must really be on a Halloween roll!

Our order from Stampendous came with the much-loved House Mouse designs. If you looked at the catalog I emailed, you probably saw some of the colorful samples. Makes me want to vary from my usual Christmas cards and do some coloring. I just don't know what my cat's would think :)

I'll let you know what we order from the many terrific companies Joan represents. Watch your email!
