Merry Christmas… July!

It is definitely not feeling like Christmas here…..unless you live in Australia where Christmas comes in the middle of summer. Anyway, we are looking forward to cooler times and preparing for winter holidays with newly released Christmas images, dies and classes. Be sure to check out the class schedule. Stamp of the Month will be Christmas themed.

This month we will be welcoming a new teacher, Linda Mosley. Many of you know Linda as she is a long-time customer of The Cat’s Meow. She worked part time at Mountain Candies until they closed and is very active in the community. Linda loves Halloween, so she chose a  Halloween theme for her first class project.  Her class is at the end of the July so you will have time to check out her sample and sign up.

The summer CHA is this month. Neither Melissa or will be attending. This is a much smaller show, and many of our major vendors are not attending. Our rep, Joan Mills will be visiting us following the show to fill us in on anything we missed.

Melissa had a great time in Maine. You might have followed her on facebook. Her friends Joy and Debbie (from Texas) showed her a really good time. Thanks girls!

Thanks for all of the interest in Quigley. He is doing great. I am amazed at how smart he is and how quickly he is learning. He is not coming to work as much because he and Henry have become fast friends. He is doing well with several commands…come, sit, down, and is catching on to shake. I think he is ambidextrous as he seems to shake with both left and right. He is now 4 ½ months old and will be visiting the vet soon for the big surgery. He is visiting the groomer in a couple of days so he will get used to the grooming process. He is a great little guy and we are happy we got a puppy even though we were looking for an adult dog. I’ll take some more pics soon.

We are going to hold an SPCA stamp sale from July 17-19. I am sure you know my ‘other life’ revolves  around my efforts to improve the lives of animals. From time to time, customers donated stamps they are no longer using and we put them out in a basket where they each sell for a dollar donation. We have had  a couple of very generous donations of stamps, more than the basket can handle. You will want to mark your calendar for these three days of bargains….and you’ll help the animals at the same time. Remember to bring cash or checks. At this time, the SPCA does not accept credit cards.

Stop by soon to check out what’s new. The air is on!

                             WHAT’S NEW?

All colors of 3D Stamp Paint, the quick drying metallic
paint that when applied in a thin coat will add lots of shine to your project. If you apply it with a brush or spatula, it will be dimensional when dry.

Hero Arts Neon ink pads and Hero Arts daubers are in. These are a lot of fun and add a bright, happy look to your projects.

Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells, a combo if Halloween and Steampunk is in….a collection of papers in 12x12” , 8x8” pads and some embellishments.

Wink of Stella arrived in all 12 colors. This is a very cool product. We love the shimmery colors and the water-brush like applicator.

We will be receiving stamps and dies from the Memory Box Christmas in July release. They plan to begin shipping  July 1, so depending where we are in the shipping schedule, we should have everything soon. I believe they plan to have the ‘big reveal’ on the 15th!

Lots of new goodies are in the works, orders being written for merchandise to arrive through the end of the year.
