Memory Box Spring 2013

New Baby collection

Hi;
Stamp Escape month is here! We are busy getting things ready, writing orders for all of the goodies the teachers will be using in class and unpacking boxes from vendors filled with prizes! We have a handful of spots left if  you haven’t signed up or have a friend who is thinking of coming. Just be sure to call before sending registration to make sure there is space.  I am still trying to work out the kinks with The Pines banquet people for 2014. I have the first weekend in May tentatively reserved hoping we will be able to convince them to bring the price for the meeting rooms back down to the price we have paying for 12 years! By Stamp Escape we will have a final decision.

 We had a surprise visit from our Lifestyle Crafts new rep yesterday (3/29). I spoke to him about a week ago and found he was visiting California and would be willing to swing through and do a quick make-and-take and give out a bunch of prizes. It was fun with about 35 ladies stopping by.

 Even with Stamp Escape coming up, Melissa and Robin have some fun classes planned for earlier in the month. We will start out the month with an adorable board from Darcies for Stamp of the Month. Clever sayings with princess, knight, dragon, frog and other coordinating stamps round out the collection. Cute not just for kids, too!

 I hope you have all taken a look at Misc. Me! This is the collection we chose at CHA for the simple scrapbooker. I think I mentioned before that we liked it because it was well thought out. You can choose to make it a calendar, weekly planner, scrapbook, or I’m sure there are dozens of other ways to put it together.  We have been posting some short videos from BoBunny on our facebook page that will give you lots of ideas. If you have limited time (or energy) and still want to keep some important memories, this may be the method for you! Slip in a couple of photos, a bit of journaling, and call it good!

 Do you know that we are now stocking the Silhouette Cameo? Melissa owns one and has been cutting lots of cute shapes. She just brought a watering can she cut and filled with paper tulips in to make the store look like Spring! If you are thinking about adding a machine that cuts shapes, words, etc. to your crafting tools, I think you should consider the Cameo. If you want a demonstration, call to set up a time with Melissa.

 In need of ideas? Have you checked out pinterest? Just go to pinterest.com and sign in. Then you can search for a stamp or die you own, or just put in a company you like such as Memory Box or Hero Arts and you will see tons of great ideas. For example, you might search for Memory Box window die
…..lots of fun. Plan to spend some time there. Pinterest is not just for crafters……need a recipe or decorating ideas? You will find them there. It’s great because you can start boards where you store your favorites instead of having to go back and search for them again. Check it out!

 We hope to see you at Stamp Escape, but if you can’t make it, be sure to stop by to see what’s new! Remember, the store will be closes April 27 and 28 while we are at the lake.

                                       What's New?

When we order for Stamp Escape we always order other merchandise for the store. Our Impression Obsession order included some very cute dies. They are available for sale now and are not the same as what we will have at Stamp Escape. Following Stamp Escape, we will have a couple of Tim Holtz lines that will be new to the store, Distress Stains and Distress Markers. Els will be using the Distress Markers with her glitter and Donna will use the Distress Stains as watercolor.

 The Bundle of Joy Boy and Girl collections from Echo Park came in. They are just adorable. We are always looking for baby paper that can also have uses for those who don’t have infants in their lives and these fill the bill. You will need to check them out. With this collection and the papers for boys and girls that are a little older from My Mind’s Eye, we have the kids covered!

 We finally got the Evolution from Lifestyle Crafts. It is the machine similar to a Cuttlebug or Grand Caliber. It takes all of the dies and embossing folders from Lifestyle Crafts and other companies as well. I like the fact that it comes with long plates which are great for the long border dies, and I also like the material the plate are made of. They are more like self-healing mats. They are flexible and will not warp and crack like the plastic plates.

 Memory Box has come out with their spring release of dies and stamps. You can click here to see the catalog. If there is something you want, please email or call with the item numbers and descriptions. We want to place the order in the next few days so we can get delivery before Stamp Escape for those of you who are coming from out of the area. Even though we charge actual shipping costs to ship, it still adds up!

 A beautiful new wildlife board arrived from Northwood’s Rubber Stamps. Their boards are always spectacular and the images on this board are really nice. Think ducks, eagles, bears, trees……nature!

 We have RIBBON! We got in two new styles in March! Our ribbon is now displayed by color….and has a much larger home! Be sure to check out the rainbow wall.

 On order from BoBunny, Anthem and Trail Mix paper collections. Coming from We R Memory Keepers, Happy Campers and Simply Spring. Their Envelope Punch Board and more Corner Chompers should be here soon, too.

 Lots more new in stock and on the way….if there is something you want and don’t see, please ask!
