Goodbye Cindy

New Paper

Bakers Twine

Washi Tape

Here we are with beautiful weather today and I had 10” of snow last week! Spring is on its’ way, but doesn’t seem to be in a rush. Stamp Escape is also coming up at the end of April, so if you need to send your final payment, or haven’t signed up at all, this is your chance. As you might know, we are not sure there will be a Stamp Escape next year. I am currently attempting to reason with the portion of the resort that owns the meeting rooms. They want to more than double the rates for next year which I refuse to pay. We seem to be at a bit of a stand-off right now, but I will keep you posted. If all goes well, we hope to have the first weekend in May which is our preferred weekend.

Melissa and Robin have been getting into the feeling of spring as you will see by the card classes they have developed. I think all of the pretty new paper we have received has something to do with it. The Graphic 45 Secret Garden is flying out of here.

We are sorry to see Mountain Candies close. Cindy has been a great neighbor and we will really miss her. Just to keep little bit of her around, we will be getting several things from the store. Within the next couple of weeks, you will see some changes. We will be moving things around a bit, getting a bigger and hopefully more efficient counter, doubling the size of the ribbon area and arranging it by color instead of ribbon style……lots of new looks. Now, just because we will have a larger counter, don’t expect to have a lot more room to sign receipts….I am sure Peachy and Mittens will just spread out a little more!

There are lots of fun things coming in, and we are re-energized with new ideas, so be sure to stop by and plan to attend a few classes.

Have a blessed Easter!

                                    WHAT’S NEW?

Paper….and more coming! Graphic 45 Secret Garden and French Country, both beautiful, are here. The collections include 6x6 and 8x8 pads, too. Family Ties from Pebbles is whimsical and the colors are bright and cheerful. My Mind’s Eye Boy Crazy and My Girl are both hers, and the two baby collections we ordered from Echo Park are coming this month. We are anxiously awaiting a fun Western style paper from Cosmo Cricket, and a couple of papers from We R Memory Keepers. Lots to look forward to!

Our Create-a Card fixture from Doodlebug came and is now filled with adorable cards, matching envelopes, gems, pearls, dimensional stick-ons, lots of goodies to grab and make a special card in a couple of minutes. We have looked at this system for several years but it was always done on a 6ft tall fixture with tons and tons of product. When we saw this scaled down version, we knew it was perfect for us. When we get the store rearranged, it will have a special place… won’t miss it.

We also have 13 colors of bakers twine in 20 yard spools from Doodlebug. You will love these little spools that look just like the big (240yd) ones….but in a manageable amount. The other embellishment from Doodlebug is our basket full of print Washi tape. Washi tape was all the rage at CHA. EVERYONE had it! We spent a lot of time choosing and settled on Doodlebug’s version which just happens to match our fixture full of cards!

You will want to check out the new sample board from Penny Black. As with all their boards, it is lovely. This one is in pale lavenders and yellows….birds and flowers….perfect for spring.

There is much more to come, stay tuned!
